Interview GuidanceWhy are you qualified to help me interview? Before launching my own professional development business I was an HR professional/consultant. I held responsibility for hiring, interviewing, training managers to interview, and consulting within organizations to define job requirements and interviewing procedures. My experience provides a well-rounded perspective on the skills and approach required to stand out and get hired. You will provide the information necessary to conduct interview--e.g. sample job descriptions detailing the role you wish to pursue and your resume. An initial interview session is scheduled and verbal as well as written feedback is provided, along with opportunity to rehearse new skills/responses. Practice exercises are assigned and a follow-up session is scheduled to assess performance. The key messages you need to convey to effectively highlight your most valuable skills/achievements will be defined and summarized in a follow-up communication, along with tips addressing your strengths and areas for development. How do I know if interview preparation is something I could use? One: Your interviews are not resulting in offers If any of the above pertain to you, then you can benefit from our interview preparation services. Do you support preparation for answering the different types of interview questions? Absolutely. You must be prepared for the different kinds of interview questions that will be asked of you. Understanding the pitfalls for each type of question (e.g. behavioral, hypothetical, technical, etc.) as well as how to effectively respond can ensure you present yourself in a strong and confident manner. What are the benefits of interview preparation? Practice, awareness of best-practice tips, greater self-awareness--particularly regarding your value to a prospective employer--and, renewed self-confidence.
